We hope to accomplish customer dependency on single-use packaging idea in the Philippines while reducing trash that is already abundant. The solution is to have a mobile zero waste shop that distributes household goods and will incetivize customers to bring in garbage to gain rebates at our store. However, our model isn't that of any ordinary zero waste shop, as our zero waste shop will be mobile. The zero waste shop will be on the back of a truck so that it is mobile and provide better access to communities. We believe our customers want to be environmentally conscious but find it to difficult and financially burdensome. Strong relationships will be created as our service will become a vital part of the community. With only a truck a warehouse and some employees we believe we can offer a solution that empowers our customers to be environmentally conscious and is light on their wallets.

Executive Summary

Our idea is to have a mobile zero waste shop that distributes household goods. The plan is to offer better prices than the competitors due to the bulk and wholesale purchasing of items. These savings will then be passed on to the consumers. Part of the model is to offer reduced pricing for customers who bring in garbage for us to collect to incentive customers to dispose of waste, as a point of sale discount or rebate. The zero waste shop will be on the back of a truck so that it is mobile and provide better access to communities. The thinking behind the model is that if a zero waste shop inside a truck is driving through the neighborhood on its daily route(like an ice cream truck) and prices are cheaper (even more so if they return garbage) customers will be inclined to purchase from us due to the proximity, prices, and relationships they make with the vendors.
