The World Vision Social Innovation Challenge is an entrepreneurship competition for students and recent graduates that will support some of Canada’s most brilliant minds in creating market based solutions to some of the world’s most difficult development challenges.

The Social Innovation Challenge will provide students and recent graduates with an opportunity to develop their business ideas through providing ideation support, incubation through technical advisory services, seed capital, and the expertise of World Vision Canada to market test their solutions

Sep 19, 2016 - Mar 15, 2017

W orld Vision issues an online Energy challenge statement explaining development challenges in Energy that will need to be addressed in the next 10 years.


Mar 15, 2017

Submit your idea by March, 15th, 2016. Ideas will be vetted by a team of industry experts.


Mar - May, 2017

World Vision selects up to 10 student teams and provides them access to business advisory services to help develop business ideas throughout the summer.


June, 2017

At the end of the school year, student teams pitch their developed business ideas to a panel of experts for a chance to win at least up to 50K of further seed funding.


June, 2017

Winners get funding, technical support and advisory services to incubate and market test for 12 months
